Having survived the worst month of the offseason, we now have Spring Football to look forward to. The major storyline in the league has to be the coaching carousel. It is rare for a coach to move from one school directly to another in the same conference, and that is exactly what Steve Sarkisian did by leaving Washington for his previous school Southern Cal. Filling the vacancy in Seattle is highly-touted Chris Petersen who has led the decade of dominance at Boise State. Petersen was arguably the most coveted coach, and looks to improve on the recent success at UW.
Oregon loses long-time defensive coordinator Nick Alliotti, but the transition looks to be seamless as Don Pellum takes over with 23 years of experience with the Ducks under his belt. Plus it always helps having one of the nation's top quarterbacks return (Mariota), giving the defense some room for growing pains. 2014 Spring Schedules Currently, no Pac-12 Spring Games have been picked up by the national networks. We will update accordingly closer to the date.
